Of course I remember Humanities Core. I remember asking myself, "What the hell is this guy (Heidegger) saying???" I would read and reread our version in English and still I found myself asking... "Can someone please translate this into English???" LOL. I did like reading Greek Mythology. Plato and S -
Hola Tu, I was listening to this song by Iron Maiden with my husband yesterday when he asked me "who are the 7 sons of the 7 sons". I told him that it's probably a reference to either mythology or to the Bible in some way. Then I told him about Humanities Core, how I never felt so much like an idi -

Geico just saved money on its car insurance by switching to Chuck Norris.
dinner! mmm. I'm having pizza.
ryc: what, all those fq bits? I think it's called "Tags". cause, well, it displays all your tags. I never use tags, so the automatic FQ ones are the only ones that it shows.
@VaultESL - Yes, I do believe English Savoury Lovin' is a "wee" bit catchier than English as a Second Language.

ryc: heh. that's me, your friendly English safe-deposit-box man. :)
you know, on that same subject, during my last Xanga live-chat, someone, I forget who, suggested that it could stand for English Savoury Lovin'.
A wee bit catchier, no?
@CarmenDeBizet - Ooh, okay, I'll have to check that out.
@lovetakesmehighxx - Neruda is one of my favorites. I recommend the movie The Postman (Italy, 1994), Neruda's poems are an integral part of the story.
I saw you listed Veinte poemas de Amor y una cancion desesperada as one of your favorite books. I was so excited bc I translated Neruda's poem 20 for a comparative literature class of mine this semester. It was so beautiful - in both Spanish and English. :)
@CarmenDeBizet - I think it's such a great idea to do that. Why didn't I think of it? LOL. I could have put AdelynneAllende or something. HAHA. Kidding.
@FreeeVerse - My name is Carmen in real life, but since I wanted my user id to be a combination of my name with something else...I chose an opera, which holds a lot of meaning to me: Bizet's Carmen.
I like the version with Maria Callas.
@CarmenDeBizet - You're not shy with me at all! [And that's a good thing
] Have I told you that I like your Xanga name? DeBizet... sounds so romantic. :)
@FreeeVerse - Xanga is more fun. I went to Blogspot to post in Spanish, but I consider this blog to be my active blog. This is where I started. Although I was more of a wallflower for about a year. I read (a lot) and slowly, but surely started to interact with other Xangans. I'm kind of shy.
People like you make it fun!
Isn't Xanga more fun than Blogspot? :D
